Tradition, Dedication, Excellence.

JDHS Swimming and Diving thrives on a longstanding tradition of academic and athletic excellence. Our athletes dedicate themselves to self-improvement through hard work, team camaraderie, and a positive spirit.

In 2024, due to budgetary reasons, Thunder Mountain High School and Juneau-Douglas High School combined together to form one high school under the Juneau-Douglas name. Head Swim Coach Josiah Loseby lead the newly combined team in 2024 and did an excellent job merging together the athletes and the two school's long-standing traditions. We thank Coach Josiah Loseby for his dedication to our team these past 10 years, his undivided attention to our athletes and their physical and mental wellbeing, and for his determination to bring out the best in every one of our swimmers and divers, both in and out of the water.  We also thank Coach Seth Cayce for his 10 years of unwavering dedication to the JDHS Swim and Dive team. Coach Seth continues to coach our Glacier Swim Club swimmers with his unwavering love of the sport, drive for excellence, and personal connection with the swimmers, all while keeping it fun.

Both the Crimson Bears and Thunder Mountain Falcons boasted top finishes at state championships every year. Together, the combined team competes as the JDHS Bears and is a powerhouse in the water and on the diving board. Go Bears!  â€‹
